As a Manager, UX Product Designer for the Deloitte DT-US Product Engineering team, you will be tasked with solving complex challenges through elegant, user-centered design solutions. You will lead the creation of design strategy and vision, setting product direction while delivering high-quality visual and interaction design elements. With a deep understanding of lean UX approaches and experience working in small, empowered product teams, you will apply behavioral metrics, user research, and data-driven insights to craft innovative product solutions that delight users. Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible and accountable for design and usability for a product or product area, connecting the product to the broader experience vision.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design engaging and intuitive user experiences using an iterative lean UX approach.
  • Lead teams in framing and solving challenging experience problems and drive innovative UX efforts through cross-functional workshops.
  • Bring your expertise to the product team by thinking deeply about complex experience challenges and proposing elegant solutions.
  • Make strategic design and user-experience decisions for core and new functions and features.
  • Develop new approaches to complex design problems, conveying ideas via presentations, mockups, and click-thru prototypes.
  • Create strategic big-picture workflows while executing detailed visual and interaction design.
  • Partner with user researchers and influence studies to identify unresolved interface problems and design opportunities.
  • Design and deliver all UX assets—including concept designs, user flows, wireframes, usage scenarios, user journeys, and mockups—that support seamless interactions.
  • Understand business priorities and user needs to create impactful experiences.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, engineering, product, and delivery teams to achieve strategic objectives and KPI outcomes.
  • Contribute to the overall design framework by ensuring a consistent design language and maintaining a reusable library of design assets.
  • Engage actively in hands-on Experience craft modeling through deep project participation.
  • Conduct heuristic evaluations of existing products to identify areas for improvement.
  • Uphold high standards of user-centered design, iterating quickly and testing designs to enhance usability.
  • Continuously challenge design effectiveness, monitor behavioral analytics, and suggest improvements to optimize experiences.
  • Operate effectively both collaboratively and autonomously as the sole UX designer on a product squad.
  • Spread knowledge and best practices within the UX community while staying current with industry trends.

  • Ability to travel 0-10% based on project needs and client sectors.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years as an interaction or product designer with a strong track record of crafting intuitive user interfaces.
  • Highly experienced in Design Thinking, Lean UX, and iteratively evolving designs through continuous user testing.
  • Proven ability to operate within an empowered, cross-functional product squad environment.
  • Deep understanding of interactive design principles that deliver simple, elegant, and accessible interfaces.
  • Extensive experience designing for both desktop and mobile platforms with responsive and adaptive solutions.
  • Passion for solving user pain points by leveraging design thinking and user feedback.
  • Highly creative and analytical, balancing strategic vision with hands-on execution.
  • Collaborative and open-minded with a strong drive to continuously learn and iterate on designs.
  • Ability to thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments and incorporate rapid feedback improvements.
  • Deep passion for UX and innovation with a commitment to exploring new design trends.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, able to communicate effectively with developers and executives.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines independently.
  • Expertise in industry-standard UX tools including Sketch, Adobe CC, Figma, Axure, InVision, UXPin, and Balsamiq.
  • Degree in Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Psychology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • A strong portfolio or work samples demonstrating robust UX experience is required.

Benefits & Perks

  • Compensation: $113,000 - $208,000, based on skills, experience, and other business considerations.
  • Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program based on individual and organizational performance.
