Job Description

Position Overview

This is an onsite role at the Arlington assembly manufacturing plant. The GMIT Manufacturing LAN/Operations Specialist Entry Level team member is responsible for providing on-site IT support—including applications, IT devices, network, and infrastructure assistance—and performing physical tasks such as lifting and climbing stairs/ladders on the manufacturing floor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Under specific guidelines, perform work directed by the site IT manager
  • Perform asset management inventory updates
  • Execute label printing and delivery as needed
  • Support end-user devices (PCs, Printers, Scanners, Mobile Phones and Tablets)
  • Use remote PC management tools to assist users
  • Complete assigned IT project tasks
  • Use corporate IT tools for remote device management and user support
  • Build clients (PCs, laptops, printers, wireless devices) per established procedures
  • Participate with cross-functional teams as required
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and repair of computer systems, hardware, and peripherals
  • Climb ladders or access stairways to reach network cabinets when needed

Required Qualifications

  • 1 to 3 years of IT experience or equivalent technical education
  • Technical school graduate in an IT discipline or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing end-user equipment (PCs, laptops, printers, scanners, tablets), peripherals, and network connectivity
  • Good Windows PC and peripheral support skills
  • Basic understanding of LAN/WAN concepts
  • Basic understanding of wireless communication
  • Basic IT security knowledge
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration

Benefits & Compensation

  • Base Compensation: $63,000 - $96,400 (actual base pay will vary based on relevant factors)
