Job Description
Position Overview
This is an onsite role at the Arlington assembly manufacturing plant. The GMIT Manufacturing LAN/Operations Specialist Entry Level team member is responsible for providing on-site IT support—including applications, IT devices, network, and infrastructure assistance—and performing physical tasks such as lifting and climbing stairs/ladders on the manufacturing floor.
Key Responsibilities
- Under specific guidelines, perform work directed by the site IT manager
- Perform asset management inventory updates
- Execute label printing and delivery as needed
- Support end-user devices (PCs, Printers, Scanners, Mobile Phones and Tablets)
- Use remote PC management tools to assist users
- Complete assigned IT project tasks
- Use corporate IT tools for remote device management and user support
- Build clients (PCs, laptops, printers, wireless devices) per established procedures
- Participate with cross-functional teams as required
- Perform basic troubleshooting and repair of computer systems, hardware, and peripherals
- Climb ladders or access stairways to reach network cabinets when needed
Required Qualifications
- 1 to 3 years of IT experience or equivalent technical education
- Technical school graduate in an IT discipline or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing end-user equipment (PCs, laptops, printers, scanners, tablets), peripherals, and network connectivity
- Good Windows PC and peripheral support skills
- Basic understanding of LAN/WAN concepts
- Basic understanding of wireless communication
- Basic IT security knowledge
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration
Benefits & Compensation
- Base Compensation: $63,000 - $96,400 (actual base pay will vary based on relevant factors)
