Position Overview
Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC US LLC is looking for a Regional Sales Manager I, Commercial in Houston, TX.
The Regional Sales Manager I, Commercial is responsible for sales growth of Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC US (METUS) Commercial products through developing relationships within distribution channels and with architectural, engineering, and contractor communities, promoting Mitsubishi Electric technologies to AEC stakeholders and other organizations.
Key Responsibilities
- Effectively lead a group of Area Sales Managers, as needed, within an assigned region to achieve established sales growth and business unit objectives; hire, develop and train a motivated commercial sales team.
- Serve as the primary point of contact with senior leaders of assigned distribution partners.
- Collaborate with Business Unit Leadership to develop and implement a regional sales growth/business plan based on METUS corporate initiatives, market analysis, and business unit objectives.
- Implement market strategy and achieve sales goals for the assigned region.
- Develop relationships with local engineers, architects, contractors, and other AEC stakeholders to educate them on METUS Variable Refrigerant Flow systems and other products.
- Participate in local professional networking groups, industry associations, and related functions.
- Prepare and deliver educational presentations to architects, engineers, contractors, and distributor personnel.
- Oversee effective specification of METUS products and counter competitive solutions.
- Position, influence, and track market opportunities in the territory.
- Provide superior customer experience utilizing all internal and external resources.
- Willingness to travel up to 40% for company meetings and training, both domestically and possibly internationally.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred) or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years technical sales experience, preferably in the HVAC industry.
- Minimum 5 years calling on the AEC community as a sales engineer or equivalent.
- Familiarity with Commercial HVAC distribution.
- Ability to read and comprehend architect and engineer plans.
- Knowledge of HVAC application and design.
- Proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office products.
- Strong communication skills for engaging with a diverse group.
- Experience in developing and implementing business growth plans.
- Effective public speaking skills.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Residency within the Business Unit Geography.
- Demonstrated team player embodying METUS core values.

- Compensation: Base pay range expected between $111,200 and $152,900/year with potential for commissions (30% of total compensation based on revenue targets), incentive compensation, and discretionary awards.
