Spotlight is looking for a strategic, hands-on Director of Marketing to help fuel our next phase of growth. Key Responsibilities
- Lead Demand Generation: Own the full-funnel strategy from awareness to pipeline to revenue across paid and organic channels (Search, Social, ABM, and Retargeting).
- Build the Category: Partner closely with the Founder and VP of Thought Leadership to create a new market category, shaping the narrative that establishes Spotlight as the ultimate authority.
- Optimize the Stack: Continuously improve our marketing technology stack (CRM, Automation, Analytics) to ensure clean data flows and seamless alignment with Sales Ops.
- Performance Management: Define the measurement framework and KPIs (CAC, ROI, conversion rates) to ensure data accuracy and decision readiness for leadership.
- Content & Narrative: Write and shape senior-level content, including POVs and campaign narratives, to maintain a consistent value proposition across channels.
- Team Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performing internal marketing team while managing external agency partners.
Required Qualifications
- 7-10+ years of B2B Marketing experience with at least 3+ years in a senior leadership role (Director level or equivalent).
- Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in driving measurable pipeline growth within a mid-sized, high-growth organization (~$20m–$50m revenue).
- Entrepreneurial DNA: Experience working directly with founders or in entrepreneurial environments.
- Budget Ownership: Proven ability to manage and optimize significant paid advertising budgets with clear ROI accountability.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; an MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
- Tech Stack Proficiency: Deep experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and marketing automation platforms.
- Analytical Tools: High proficiency in Google Analytics, data visualization tools, and performance dashboards.
- Content Mastery: Exceptional writing skills with the ability to translate complex business concepts into compelling senior-level thought leadership.
