In this role, you will apply a data analytics skillset to support Exelon Audit Services (EAS) through risk-focused audit engagements. You will design and maintain data models, dashboards, and automation tools that drive data‐informed decision-making while developing core audit skills. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform extraction and analysis on company-wide data to identify trends, patterns, and insights; support the design, development, and implementation of data analytics and visualization tools. (40%)
  • Implement data-driven, continuous monitoring and risk-based analytics to flag emerging risks within the organization. (40%)
  • Support initiatives to improve internal processes and optimize the control environment by developing tailored data analytics solutions. (10%)
  • Assist in administering and maintaining the dedicated EAS data analytics platform in collaboration with IT infrastructure teams. (10%)

Required Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Information Systems/Technology, Accounting, Business, Engineering, Finance or a related field.
  • Demonstrated strength in analytical reasoning and critical thinking.
  • Proficiency with analytical tools such as Python, Power Query, or R.
  • Experience with dashboard and data visualization tools, including Power BI or Tableau.
  • Knowledge of SQL queries, database systems, and connecting to diverse data sources.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • High standards for customer service and effective relationship-building.

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience in a data analytics role or equivalent academic experience.
  • A portfolio on GitHub, Kaggle, or similar platforms demonstrating prior data analytics work.
  • Experience with automation tools such as Power Automate.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including SharePoint, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience collaborating with project teams to implement data-driven solutions.
  • Relevant professional accreditations (e.g., CIA, CISA, CFE, CPA, PMP, Six Sigma) and technical certifications (e.g., Databricks Certified Data Analyst Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Scientist Associate, Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate, AWS Certified Machine Learning, TensorFlow Developer Certificate).
