We are seeking a Senior Field Service Technician to join our Field Operations team. In this role, you will be at the heart of our customer success and operational excellence, providing hands-on technical expertise to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair cutting-edge public transit Mobile Video System equipment. Your contributions ensure safety, reliability, and performance across transit bus fleets.
Please note this is a 3rd shift position working Monday–Friday from 7:00 PM to 3:30 AM.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site service visits to perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and corrective repairs on transit buses equipped with mobile video and electronic systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical and electronic components, including wiring harnesses, connectors, fuses, relays, and circuit boards using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other diagnostic tools.
- Perform mechanical and electrical installations for retrofits and system upgrades, including routing cables, terminating connectors, and mounting hardware.
- Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions by isolating faults, replacing defective components, and verifying system performance through functional testing.
- Collaborate with manufacturers and field personnel to escalate complex issues, interpret technical documentation, and implement corrective actions.
- Document service activities, including wiring changes, part replacements, and troubleshooting steps, to ensure accurate records and compliance with customer standards.
- Travel occasionally within the U.S. to support retrofits, new system startups, and advanced troubleshooting projects.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required (AS degree or equivalent military technical training is a plus).
- At least 3 years of technical experience, preferably in a manufacturing or transit environment.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications including Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams.

- Technical Savvy: Proficiency with electrical systems, automotive wiring, voltmeters, and small tools.

- Problem-Solving Skills: Capability to diagnose, resolve, and effectively communicate complex technical issues.
