Position Overview

The Valley Health System has expanded into an integrated health network that serves more than two million people in Southern Nevada. Starting with Valley Hospital Medical Center in 1979, the Valley Health System has grown to include Centennial Hills Hospital Medical Center, Spring Valley Hospital Medical Center, Summerlin Hospital Medical Center, Henderson Hospital, Valley Health Specialty Hospital, and our newest location West Henderson Hospital. In this role, you will be responsible for greeting and registering all incoming patients and their representatives, ensuring necessary information required for admission is accurately recorded and processed while maintaining confidentiality within HIPAA guidelines. This position plays a pivotal role in the operational efficiency of healthcare service delivery and requires individuals who are detail-oriented, adaptable, and equipped with the necessary experience and skills to handle the demands of a dynamic healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsibilities: Responsible for greeting and registering all incoming patients and their representatives, ensuring necessary information required for admission is accurately recorded and processed while maintaining confidentiality within HIPAA guidelines. Plays a pivotal role in the operational efficiency of healthcare service delivery.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience Required: Minimum of two years hands-on experience in a hospital registration setting or Urgent Care preferred. Possess a comprehensive understanding of the intricacies involved in patient admission.
  • Qualifications: Computer proficiency includes word processing and patient accounting system. HIPAA and PCI Compliance required. Insurance knowledge preferred.
  • Requirements: Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide service appropriate to the age of the patient. Some positions may require accurate interpretation and translation in bilingual targeted language.
