Laboratory Technician - Entry Level (Must Have INSTRON Exp)

Position Overview

The Laboratory Technician - Entry Level (Must Have INSTRON Exp) will perform bench-level mechanical tests of medical devices for a Medical Device company. In this role, you will execute hands‐on measurements of tension and compression forces, follow detailed written test procedures, and record test data accurately. This contract position is for 12 months, 40 hours per week, located in Franklin Lakes, NJ. Employment is on a Contract W2 basis (US Citizens or GC Holders Only).

Key Responsibilities

• Perform bench-level mechanical tests of medical devices using established procedures.
• Measure tension and compression forces on products accurately.
• Follow detailed technical instructions and ensure compliance with regulatory procedures.
• Record and report test data meticulously while maintaining high attention to detail.

Required Qualifications

• Experience with using testing equipment in a laboratory or Quality Control setting.
• Proven ability to maintain concentration and attention to detail during extended testing periods.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency in using PC software, including Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Biomechanical Engineering.
• Experience working in a regulated industry such as automotive or medical device.
• Experience in using mechanical testing machines such as the INSTRON.
• Knowledge of statistical analysis and Minitab software.
