Job Description
Job Title: DevOps Software Engineer
Department: Engineering & LunarTech Labs
Location: Remote (Global) / Hybrid (depending on specific team hub)
Job Type: Full-Time
About LUNARTECH
At LUNARTECH, we don’t just teach the future of technology—we build it. We are an AI & Data Science engineering powerhouse operating on two fronts: LunarTech Academy, where we democratize tech education for the next generation of innovators, and LunarTech Labs, where we design, build, and deploy production-grade AI systems for enterprise clients in heavy industry, healthcare, and telecom.
We are "Engineers, not slide decks." We reject the hype surrounding AI in favor of ROI-first, production-ready systems. We are looking for a DevOps Engineer who shares our obsession with uncompromised excellence, ethical precision, and building infrastructure that lasts.
The Role
As a DevOps Software Engineer, you will be the bridge between our Data Science teams and real-world production environments. You will not just "manage servers"; you will architect the scalable infrastructure required to run complex Machine Learning models, ensuring they operate reliably under strict constraints.
You will own the lifecycle of our software delivery—from automating CI/CD pipelines for our ed-tech platform to building secure, compliant MLOps workflows for our enterprise AI solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Design and maintain reproducible cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) using Terraform or Pulumi. You will build the "connective tissue" that allows us to deploy vendor-agnostic solutions for our clients.
- CI/CD & MLOps: Evolve our CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions/GitLab CI) to support not just standard software, but also model training, testing, and deployment. You will help operationalize AI by automating model versioning and rollout.
- Container orchestration: Manage and scale Kubernetes clusters (EKS/AKS) to handle variable workloads, ensuring our AI assistants and student platforms remain responsive under load.
- Observability & Reliability: Implement robust monitoring and alerting (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog) that goes beyond system metrics to track model health and application performance.
- Security & Compliance: Embed security into the pipeline (DevSecOps). Ensure our infrastructure meets the rigorous compliance standards of our healthcare and energy clients (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, SOC2).
- Developer Enablement: Build internal tooling that empowers our data scientists to deploy their work without needing to become infrastructure experts.
What We Are Looking For
- Engineering Background: 3+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering. You have a software engineering mindset and are comfortable reading/writing code (Python, Go, or Rust).
- Cloud Fluency: Deep hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS or Azure preferred) and a solid understanding of networking, IAM, and cost optimization.
- Container Master: You breathe Docker and Kubernetes. You understand how to troubleshoot a crashing pod and how to autoscale a cluster based on custom metrics.
- Automation First: You hate doing things twice. You are proficient in scripting (Bash/Python) and configuration management (Ansible/Chef).
- The "Why" over the "How": You understand that technology is a tool to solve business problems. You prioritize stability, security, and ROI over chasing the newest shiny tool.
Bonus Points
- Experience with MLOps tools (MLflow, Kubeflow, Weights & Biases).
- Background in the EdTech or Data Science sectors.
- Experience enabling "Air-gapped" or on-premise deployments for enterprise clients.
Why Join LUNARTECH?
- Impact: Work on systems that actually reach production and solve real-world problems in critical industries.
- Growth: Unlimited access to the entire LunarTech Academy catalog. We invest heavily in your upskilling because we believe education is a human right.
- Culture: A remote-first, diverse global team that values integrity and performance. No micromanagement; just high standards and the support to meet them.
- Competitive Compensation: Salary commensurate with experience, plus performance-based incentives.
