As a Mechanical Engineer at a Marathon refinery, you will gain a solid understanding of industry codes and best practices while working alongside professionals across multiple engineering disciplines. You will also have opportunities to hone your project management skills and expand your written and verbal presentation abilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Familiarize with industry codes and best practices.
  • Develop critical thinking skills and gain a comprehensive understanding of refinery operations.
  • Collaborate with professionals across various engineering disciplines.
  • Manage roles as an Area Refining Engineer/Project Engineer through project scope development, estimation, scheduling, and overseeing design efforts.
  • Support reliability engineering by contributing to maintenance improvements and troubleshooting equipment issues.

Required Qualifications

  • Candidates must be majoring in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Strong academic performance.
  • Authorized to work in the US on a full-time, indefinite basis without sponsorship.
  • Availability for spring, summer, and fall semesters; multiple work terms preferred.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Concurrent enrollment in a degree-seeking program.
  • Military experience is a plus.
  • Compensation: MIN - $32.31/hr, MAX - $40.89/hr.
