Your Responsibilities
- Maintain and organize office supplies and equipment, ensuring that all necessary items are stocked and in working order.
- Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails, phone calls, and mail.
- Coordinate and schedule appointments, meetings, and procedures for the Neurology team.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with billing and insurance processes, including verifying insurance coverage and collecting payments.
- Greet and assist patients and their families, providing exceptional customer service and addressing any questions or concerns.
- Collaborate with other departments and healthcare professionals to ensure efficient and effective communication and coordination of patient care.
- Monitor and track office expenses and assist with creating and managing budgets.
- Assist with data entry and reporting, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
- Uphold and promote the mission and values of Ascension Health, including a commitment to compassionate and high-quality patient care.
- Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and efficiency within the office operations.
- Adhere to all departmental policies and procedures, as well as relevant laws and regulations.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude, representing the organization in a positive light to patients, families, and colleagues.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance job knowledge and skills.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Office Manager or other supervisory staff.
