Job Description
Position Overview
We are currently seeking a part-time, onsite IT Support Technician in San Antonio, TX for a long-term contract. The role requires a technical professional with experience supporting customers through provisioning/de-provisioning and maintenance of multiple hardware platforms and their related software.
Hours: 15-20 hours per week, flexible but preferably between 8am to 5pm CST, Monday through Friday at our San Antonio, TX site.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide IT support by installing, upgrading, and monitoring software and hardware.
- Maintain operations and upkeep of systems under the Enterprise Infrastructure Team.
- Design, configure, and test computer hardware, networking software, and operating system software.
- Lead projects for new hardware/software deployments and implementations.
- Diagnose hardware and software issues and replace defective components.
- Perform break/fix tasks as needed.
- Image computers and deploy software.
- Support meetings and take backups.
- Monitor the local server.
- Collaborate with vendors for additional support and track vendor management.
Required Qualifications
- 2-5 years’ experience in desktop or IT support with hardware and software installation, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Knowledgeable with label printers and scanners.
- Experience in network support and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with trouble ticket tracking and resolution.
- Excellent customer service along with strong written and oral communication skills.
- Willingness to wear steel-toed shoes/boots.
- Experience in running or developing reports in Power BI or QAD is a plus.
