Custom Floral Designer

Position Overview

Custom Floral Designer – Full-Time in Boston, MA. This position reports to the Manager of Design Operations. For over 75 years, the dedicated team at Winston Flowers has been committed to excellence in every detail—from our state-of-the-art design studios to our client-focused approach. Location: Boston, MA
Salary: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour
Experience Required: 2+ years hands-on custom floral design experience in a high-volume luxury floral shop or design studio
Schedule: Flexible work schedule, Saturdays required, and extended workdays during peak business periods.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsibilities: Consistently create floral designs incorporating innovative use of colors, floral materials, vessels, and accent materials, while meeting Winston Flowers’ design style and cost of goods criteria.
• Develop a working understanding of Winston Flowers’ design standards and accurately create specialty and gift floral designs.
• Interpret client preferences on custom design orders and participate in event production design as needed.
• Apply proper floral handling techniques while consistently meeting production standards and cost guidelines.
• Participate in client site visits as required.

Required Qualifications

• Qualifications: 2+ years of hands-on custom floral design experience in a high-volume luxury floral shop or design studio.
• Ability to work effectively as a team member and meet client needs efficiently and professionally.
• Strong interpersonal skills, high enthusiasm, and self-motivation.
• Excellent time management and prioritization abilities.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
