Job Description

Position Overview

PCU RN’s closely monitor patients recently released from the ICU before those patients are moved to regular hospital beds. They monitor cardiac and other critical vital signs and detect any changes, thereby enabling intervention during life-threatening or emergency situations. They work in hospitals and may float as needed to Telemetry or Med Surg units.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – 4-Year Education
  • Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) – 2-Year Education
  • Must earn an ADN or BSN degree and pass the NCLEX to apply for a license as an RN.
  • Must hold an active state license.
  • ACLS certification is often required.
  • Recent experience and flexible schedule required.
