Position Overview
The Vice President of Marketing and Communications will lead TSO’s marketing initiatives to drive ticket revenue, build patron loyalty, and elevate the organization’s public profile. As a key member of the leadership team, you will transition from strategic planning to hands‐on execution while collaborating with colleagues, external partners, and community leaders. You will have the opportunity to contribute to TSO’s rich legacy – an organization founded in 1928 that enriches the community through high‐quality live music.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate annual ticket sales revenue between $2.5m–$3m and develop effective pricing strategies.
- Develop and execute an annual marketing plan, including subscription renewal, acquisition campaigns, and targeted promotions.
- Oversee all marketing communications—from digital advertising and social media to printed materials and public relations—to ensure alignment with TSO’s artistic vision and community mission.
- Utilize audience research and data analytics to monitor campaign performance and adjust strategies in real time.
- Represent TSO at community events and cultivate relationships with local business, civic, and cultural leaders to enhance the organization’s profile.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 7 years of marketing experience.
- In-depth knowledge of current digital and content marketing trends, with a data-driven approach.
- Experience with CRM systems, patron loyalty programs, and ticketing/fundraising platforms.
- Excellent writing, speaking, organizational, and strategic planning skills.
- Strong managerial skills with proven ability in budget and financial management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with an orchestra or other arts organization.
- Background in classical music or other performing arts disciplines.
- Working knowledge of Spanish.
