Position Overview
Dexcom Corporation is a global pioneer in continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) and is transforming diabetes management and beyond by empowering people with personalized, actionable health insights. As part of Dexcom’s Behavioral Science team—a multidisciplinary group that applies behavioral science, qualitative research, and data-driven insights—you will join as a Senior Data Scientist, Human Behavior & Qualitative Insights. In this role, you will lead innovative qualitative and mixed-methods research initiatives that drive strategic guidance for product development, clinical evidence, and patient engagement. Additional details such as travel requirements (5-15%) and remote work opportunities further support a dynamic, flexible work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, execution, and interpretation of qualitative and mixed-methods research to address complex behavioral, clinical, and product questions across Dexcom’s portfolio.
- Conduct qualitative research activities including moderating focus groups, interviewing participants, and observing behaviors to collect rich and meaningful data.
- Apply health behavior change models (e.g., COM-B, Self-Determination Theory, Social Cognitive Theory, Health Belief Model, habit formation frameworks) to guide study design and analysis.
- Integrate qualitative findings with quantitative and digital-health data, translating insights into actionable recommendations for Product, R&D, Clinical Affairs, Medical Affairs, and Marketing teams.
- Prepare comprehensive research reports and presentations to effectively communicate findings and strategic insights to stakeholders at all organizational levels.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced academic training in behavioral science, psychology, public health, sociology, or a related field with a strong foundation in qualitative and mixed-methods research.
- Demonstrated experience applying health behavior change models in real-world health, clinical, or digital-health contexts.
- Significant hands-on experience leading qualitative research programs from study design through analysis and stakeholder delivery.
- Ability to synthesize complex qualitative findings and translate them into strategic insights that inform product, clinical, and business decisions.
- Strong communication and storytelling skills with experience presenting to senior and cross-functional audiences.
- Proficiency with relevant tools such as NVivo, ATLAS.ti, Qualtrics, and statistical software to support mixed-methods integration.
- Experience and education requirements: Typically a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline with 5-8 years of related experience; or a Master’s degree with 2-5 years; or a PhD with 2 years of experience.

- Compensation: $116,600.00 - $194,400.00.
