Remote Precision Agriculture Specialist

Position Overview

Our client, a leader in sustainable agricultural technology, is seeking a highly motivated Precision Agriculture Specialist for a fully remote position. You will remotely consult with farmers, agronomists, and farm managers, providing expertise on data‐driven farming techniques to optimize crop yields, reduce environmental impact, and increase profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide remote expert guidance and support to agricultural clients on the implementation and utilization of precision agriculture technologies.
• Analyze farm data (e.g., soil maps, yield data, imagery) to provide actionable insights for crop management decisions.
• Develop customized precision agriculture plans tailored to specific farm operations and objectives.
• Assist clients in selecting, configuring, and operating precision agriculture hardware and software.
• Troubleshoot issues related to precision agriculture equipment, data collection, and software applications.
• Stay current with advancements in precision agriculture technology, including IoT sensors, AI in agriculture, and drone applications.
• Develop and deliver remote training materials and webinars for clients on precision agriculture techniques.
• Collaborate with internal teams to contribute to product development and service improvements.
• Monitor industry trends and provide insights on best practices for sustainable and efficient farming.
• Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients to ensure their success with precision agriculture tools.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Agricultural Engineering, Crop Science, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in precision agriculture, agronomy, or agricultural technology.
• Strong knowledge of precision farming principles, including GPS, variable rate technology (VRT), remote sensing, and GIS.
• Familiarity with farm management software and data analysis tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, essential for remote client interaction.
• Ability to interpret and communicate complex technical information effectively.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
• Passion for agriculture and sustainable farming practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree preferred.
• Experience with drone technology and data processing is a plus.
