Position Overview

Exciting career opportunity for the right candidate with a growing, well-established national company at its Pittsburgh Headquarters. As the Pittsburgh technical customer service representative, you will work with new and existing customers to provide exceptional service and support consistent with company culture and client expectations. Ideal candidates have strong knowledge of the environmental market—including environmental consulting, field work, sampling, remediation, industrial hygiene, health and safety, or environmental related services—and a desire to leverage these experiences with a unique service provider. You will receive extensive on-the-job training about company processes and standards while learning how the company positions itself within the evolving environmental industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answering incoming customer inquiries
  • Discussing project requirements
  • Discussing equipment capabilities and project applications
  • Entering customer orders in enterprise software
  • Facilitating quote development
  • Confirming customer orders
  • Assisting in execution of orders for fulfillment
  • Coordinating and assisting in deliveries and shipping logistics
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction through follow-up correspondences
  • Preparing invoice information for completed rental and sales orders
  • Abiding by all company policies and procedures

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in environmental consulting, field work, sampling, remediation, industrial hygiene, health and safety, or environmental related services
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Basic PC skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Excellent communication and social skills
  • Ability to function both independently and as a team member
