Position Overview
Yamato Transport USA, Inc. – a fully owned subsidiary of Yamato Holdings Co., Ltd. and the number one express parcel delivery provider in Japan – offers an exciting opportunity for a results-driven individual. As an Account Executive based in the Western Region, you will help drive domestic and international growth by selling Yamato’s comprehensive shipping and logistics services, including air and marine freight, customs brokerage, and customer relocation.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute sales mainly in the PNW, Bay Area, & SOCAL areas.
- Direct selling, prospecting, and calling on prospective customers to identify needs and establish buying cycles.
- Onboard customers in accordance with company policies.
- Monitor marketing and sales activities along with evaluating market trends to formulate strategic sales plans.
- Maintain activity updates in the CRM data platform and Salesforce to meet KPI objectives.
- Manage accounts to retain existing relationships and grow business through presentations, cold calling, and cross-selling.
- Communicate with overseas agents for sales support, resolve issues, and generate revenue by closing new business.
- Attend customer site visits, presentations, and meetings to support client engagement.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of outside sales experience in the transportation and logistics industry.
- Knowledge of global B2B accounts and the freight forwarding, import/export business.
- Excellent communication, presentation, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Self-driven, strong negotiator with results orientation and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Bachelor’s degree.

- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills with a proven track record in sales or similar fields.
