Position Overview
The Marketing Operations and Engineering team in Growth Marketing and Insights (GMI) handles data architecture, transformation, and engineering for the Marketing Org. We manage backend data for marketing measurement tools and processes including attribution, product and customer segmentation, and lifetime value. We are looking for an Engineering Lead to manage the data platform behind Adobe’s marketing models and reporting tools. In this role, you will partner with business analysts and data scientists to outline requirements for new or existing models, develop data pipelines, refine ETL processes, ensure data quality, and drive automation and efficiency.
Salary: U.S. range $139,000 - $257,550 annually; In California: $177,900 - $257,550 annually. Compensation: Non-sales roles are structured with a base salary plus an Annual Incentive Plan.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical direction and system architecture advice across different stages of the Software Development Process including requirements elicitation, application architecture definition, and build.
- Play a meaningful role in developing high-level design artifacts and deliver high-quality code for modules while leading validation and testing efforts.
- Take charge of reorganizing the database to more effectively serve data scientists and business analysts within the marketing organization.
- Scope requirements, connect diverse data sources, and build robust ETL processes to support new products and campaign measurement models for both B2C and B2B units.
- Partner with Marketing, Finance, and Sales teams to maintain data integrity and perform root cause analysis when data discrepancies occur.
Required Qualifications
- Education: BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Experience Required: 8+ years of data engineering experience.
- Proven expertise in SQL, Python, Spark, and data pipeline orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, dbt).
- Experience with platforms such as CursorAI for intelligent data workflows and automation.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-based analytics environments like Databricks.
- Experience collaborating with Data Scientists and BI Engineers to deliver actionable insights.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- A strong passion for data-driven development.
