Job Description

Position Overview

CFD Research Corporation, a 100% employee-owned company renowned for its innovative technology solutions and multiple national awards, is seeking an experienced aerospace engineer to join its growing team. In this new role at the Engineering Test Center near the headquarters in Huntsville, AL, you will participate in conceptual design, prototyping, and testing phases in support of Army, Air Force, and Navy programs. This is an onsite position based in Hollywood, AL.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage in conceptual design and development of aerospace systems for defense programs.
  • Support prototyping and testing phases at the Engineering Test Center.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers and technicians on R&D projects.
  • Ensure compliance with high quality and **AS9100** process standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be a US Citizen with eligibility to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering (or similar STEM discipline) with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Background in fluid mechanics, compressible flow, propulsion, and aerodynamics.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (or related STEM field).
  • Familiarity with the AS9100 process.
  • Experience in developing prototype hardware.
  • Proficiency with CNC machinery, instrumentation, testing, and fabrication tools/processes.
