Job Description

Position Overview

Infosys is seeking a Datacenter Technician. This role requires close partnership and collaboration with other Engineers and Subject Matter Experts. As a full-time employee, you will enjoy competitive pay along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform installations by racking and stacking IT devices, configuring ILO/IDRAC, executing ping tests, and installing trunks, patch cords, panels, and power cables.
  • Conduct IT/DC Track audits, approve vendor access, and provide on-call as well as emergency coverage.
  • Troubleshoot cables (SM, MM, copper), execute change requests, and replace hardware components (NICs, SFPs, memory, drives).
  • Manage decommissioning of equipment by removing patch cords and old hardware, handling media disposal (wipe/shred), and coordinating ADR/ERI tracking.
  • Handle hardware receiving tasks including package pickup/delivery, updating HRS/DC Tracks, processing RMA parts, and asset tracking.
  • Adapt to a rotating shift schedule (Shift 1: 06:00–15:00 PST, Shift 2: 14:00–23:00 PST, Shift 3: 22:00–07:00 PST).

Required Qualifications

  • Must be located within commuting distance of Tampa, FL / Twinsburg, OH, or be willing to relocate; travel within the US may be required.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) from an accredited institution, or a minimum of three years of progressive experience in lieu of each year of education.
  • At least 6 months of Information Technology experience and 6 months of hands-on support in Data Center operations.
  • Availability to work onsite on rotating/flexible shift timings at the designated Datacenter.
  • Eligible to work for any employer in the United States without employer-based visa sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to collaborate with Technology team members to ensure efficient Datacenter operations.
  • Skilled in receiving and responding to calls, messages, emails, and work orders regarding datacenter issues.
  • Proficient in ensuring work is carried out within agreed service levels and project guidelines.
  • Capable of clearly explaining and documenting technical issues to both technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Experience and desire to work in a global delivery environment.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills.
