The Corporate Audit Services (CAS) Senior Auditor works with limited oversight to support execution of audit engagements and other projects in a contributor or lead role depending on complexity. The Senior Auditor is expected to understand risk and risk management techniques, identify and analyze business processes, and key risks and controls. The position involves planning, executing, and reporting on a range of audit assignments.

Salary: $92,820.00 - $109,200.00
Schedule: Hybrid/flexible schedule (in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week)

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the audit team management in planning audit engagements, including understanding risk and risk management techniques; identifying and analyzing business processes, key risks and controls; interviewing auditees; and evaluating control design adequacy.
  • Perform or supervise staff auditors in testing controls based on audit program directions by using appropriate sampling and control testing techniques; identifying and assessing the relevancy of possible issues; and documenting work performed to support audit scope/conclusions.
  • Draft audit issues under supervision of audit team management, including drafting potential exposures and significance, identifying appropriate root causes, and developing recommendations that are both operationally and cost effective.
  • Assist audit team management in the reporting and wrap-up phases of audits, including supporting the drafting of audit reports.
  • Apply feedback and coaching to improve performance and outcomes.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Experience Required: Typically more than five years of applicable experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in corporate real estate and procurement; marketing, analytics and customer experience; strategic financial initiatives; and public affairs and communications.
  • Thorough knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, financial services, and regulatory trends that impact the assigned line of business.
  • Thorough understanding of the business line's operations, products/services, systems, and associated risks/controls.
  • Strong Financial Service Industry knowledge (e.g., Credit, Models, Regulatory Compliance, Lending, Operations, Trust, Treasury, Merchant Acquiring, Credit Cards).
  • Thorough understanding of The Institute of Internal Auditors Global Internal Audit Standards and the common definition of internal controls.
  • Ability to apply Risk/Compliance/Audit competencies independently.
  • Strong process facilitation and project management skills.
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
  • Advanced critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Ability to build strong professional relationships with peers, mid-level management, and external stakeholders.
