Position Overview
Wayfair delivers a best-in-class customer experience in the furniture and home space. As part of the Wayfair Distribution team,
you will play a key role in improving customer satisfaction and driving repeat business through reliable, efficient operations
in our growing, asset-based warehousing network. In this role, your leadership and hands-on expertise ensure smooth operations
and high performance in our warehouse environment. Compensation: $20/hr plus $2.50 SEO pay when applicable
and $1.50/hr for work between 6PM and 6AM.
Key Responsibilities
- Shift: Sunday-Tuesday 4:45PM - 5:15AM
- Assist your supervisor with managing and overseeing all warehouse functions to ensure smooth operations.
- Lead the receiving department and ensure proper use of functions.
- Delegate and assign work to maintain a 100% fill rate.
- Manage inventory and conduct necessary training within the department.
- Ensure proper use and accountability of tools.
- Respond to email and verbal inquiries in a timely manner.
- Oversee product movement and maintain cleanliness, including daily trash compacting.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 90 days tenure in your current role with Wayfair.
- Good standing with Talent Management (free of corrective actions) and a recommendation from your current reporting manager.
- Working understanding of the WMS system.
- Strong leadership and motivational skills with the ability to make decisions independently based on policies or common sense.
- Ability to physically move/process products and lead a team; must be comfortable lifting up to 75 pounds unassisted and maneuvering products of 150+ pounds (unassisted or via team lift).
- Experience working in multiple departments including receiving, inventory control, pick, pack, ship, and returns.
- Proficient in email communication.
- Power equipment experience – Must be able to operate or be willing to receive training on Powered Industrial Truck Operations (PITO).
- Experience with creating and updating systems such as trouble tickets.
- At least 2 years of work experience with excellent attendance.
- Understanding of High Jump is a plus.
- Ability to read and comprehend English for personal and team safety.
