Bally’s Chicago is the company’s newest and most exciting venture—an entertainment destination located at the historic Medinah Temple. Spanning three floors and over 34,000 square feet of gaming with nearly 800 slot machines, 56 table games, signature restaurants, main bars, and a quick-service café, Bally’s Chicago offers limitless opportunities for career growth.
The Director of IT will oversee all technology operations, ensuring the security, efficiency, and compliance of systems that support gaming, hospitality, surveillance, and back-office functions. This role manages IT infrastructure, casino management systems, cybersecurity, vendor relationships, and a team of IT professionals in a highly regulated environment.
Compensation: $150,000
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the casino’s IT strategy aligned with business and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with executive leadership to identify and implement technology solutions that enhance guest experience, operational efficiency, and compliance.
- Lead IT projects related to casino openings, system upgrades, and enterprise integrations.
- Oversee all IT systems, including casino systems, slot and table game interfaces, hotel and F&B systems, payroll/HRIS, and financial platforms.
- Ensure uptime, performance, and integration of critical systems across gaming and non-gaming operations.
- Manage IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, data centers, wireless systems, and disaster recovery.
- Maintain compliance with state gaming regulations, including Illinois Gaming Board (IGB) requirements.
- Lead cybersecurity initiatives to protect sensitive customer, employee, and financial data.
- Collaborate with regulators and internal auditors on technology compliance reviews.
- Evaluate emerging technologies (AI, cloud, mobile, digital payment solutions) to improve guest engagement and operational excellence.
- Drive automation and analytics to enhance decision-making, reduce costs, and optimize workforce productivity.
- Implement best practices in IT governance, risk management, and change control.
- Lead and mentor the IT team to deliver responsive, customer-focused support for all departments.
- Manage vendor relationships for hardware, software, and managed services, negotiating contracts and service level agreements.
- Coordinate with surveillance, security, and compliance departments on integrated technology needs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 10+ years of IT experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in gaming, hospitality, or a highly regulated industry.
- In-depth knowledge of casino management systems, slot systems, and regulatory compliance (IGB experience highly preferred).
- Strong background in cybersecurity, network administration, and enterprise systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and vendor management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, 24/7 hospitality and gaming environment.
