Collection Specialist- Remote

Position Overview

Labcorp is seeking a Client Collections Specialist to join our Revenue Cycle Management team. In this remote role, you will work with physician offices, hospital laboratories, attorneys, and internal customers to provide product education, offer payment plan agreements and settlements, and ensure a world-class customer experience while reducing aging accounts receivable balances over 60 days.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs to reduce aging AR balances over 60 days.
• Outreach to customers via phone, email, and/or letters.
• Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
• Prepare updates on resolution status for various levels of leadership.
• Document all activities/attempts to reduce balances.
• Prepare placement packages for outside attorneys for potential litigation.
• Communicate with operations management, physicians, attorneys, and internal customers.
• Utilize tools to obtain better billing information.
• Research and evaluate complex projects to identify and measure financial implications, and determine areas for improvement and education.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• REMOTE WORK: Must have a dedicated, quiet work-from-home space with no distractions.
• Ability to manage time and tasks independently while maintaining productivity.
• Previous medical and/or call center experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel experience is a plus).
• Strong critical thinking skills with a basic understanding of medical and computer concepts.
• Ability to compile and organize data effectively.
• Internet download speed of at least 50 megabytes per second.
• No satellite internet service.
• Ability to connect equipment to a router/modem via Ethernet cord (Wi-Fi, mobile routers, or mobile hotspots are not acceptable).

Compensation

Compensation: $15.25 - $21.00 per hour, or State/Local minimum wage, whichever is higher.
