Bernard Law Injury Lawyers is seeking an experienced Accounting Assistant to join our growing team in Seattle, WA. In this role, you will support office operations and perform essential accounting functions such as bookkeeping, data entry, and account reconciliation. Job Title: Accounting Assistant|Type of Position: Full Time|Location: Seattle, WA|Compensation: $22.00 - $32.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate incoming/outgoing mail and deliveries
- Process and file large volumes of legal documents and healthcare forms
- Sort and review incoming faxes
- Manage supply inventory and provide office support
- Collaborate with the Operations team to support long-term success of the Office Services department
- Maintain and update financial records
- Perform general office tasks including filing, data entry, and phone answering
- Handle bookkeeping and accounts payable duties
- Correct and modify inaccurate files and records
- Compile routine reports and reconcile account balances
- Fact-check invoices and process payments
- Verify vendor accounts through monthly statement reconciliation
- Handle communications with clients and vendors
- Assist with audits, resolve discrepancies, and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Finance, or related field (Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience)
- 1-2 years of hands-on accounting experience
- Experience with QuickBooks and proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to analyze financial records with high attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask
- Self-motivated, independent, and a collaborative team player
- Familiarity with basic accounting principles and strong ethical standards
