Job Description
Position Overview
First Things First (Arizona Early Childhood Development and Health Board) is a leader in building a family‐centered, equitable, high‐quality early childhood system for Arizona’s children from birth to age 5. The Brand & Visual Design Manager will use creative and marketing expertise to develop digital and print visual materials that advance the agency’s strategic communications, storytelling, and brand development. This role involves supporting and training internal teams and grantees, maintaining content systems, and collaborating closely with vendors to produce high‐quality outputs. Compensation: $75,067 (Grade: 21). The position may offer remote work within Arizona, subject to business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Brand Stewardship – Serve as the primary contact to review and approve branded materials, ensuring consistency in tone, style, design, and messaging across all media.
- Asset Library Management & Development – Organize and maintain the digital asset library, including version control, file structure, and usage rights.
- Design & Production – Create high-quality visual materials for print and digital formats, including graphic design, presentation layouts, and multimedia editing.
- Website & Email Marketing – Stage, review, and publish website updates and email campaigns while troubleshooting deliverability issues.
- Training & Collaboration – Support brand onboarding for staff and grantees and work with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows.
- Team Collaboration – Contribute to a positive internal culture through respectful cooperation and ongoing support for strategic initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Marketing, or a related field.
- Three to five years (or more) of direct experience in visual design, branding, email marketing, digital asset management, or multimedia production.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) with preferred experience in Premiere or equivalent video editing tools and AI tools.
- Experience with Mailchimp, WordPress (or similar platforms), and contact/list management best practices.
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with early childhood or human services systems/policy is a plus.
