Job Description

Position Overview

Join Complama as a Product Management Intern (Technical Focus) and help startups build secure, trustworthy products. In this hands-on role, you will work closely with our COO, Head of Engineering, and fellow PM interns to drive features from concept through deployment. This role is ideal for graduate students (or final-year undergrads/recent graduates) with strong experience --Unpaidand offered foracademic credit. The internship is remote (U.S. time zones preferred) at 10–30 hours per week for 3–6 months.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate technical needs into specs by writing PRDs that link customer pain points to technical requirements, business outcomes, and success metrics.
  • Write actionable user stories using INVEST-style criteria with clear acceptance conditions to keep the backlog engineer-ready.
  • Collaborate in agile delivery by joining sprint ceremonies, refining requirements with engineers, and aligning priorities across teams.
  • Work with fellow PM interns to share ownership of epics, exchange feedback on PRDs, and coordinate backlog dependencies.
  • Prototype and validate concepts with wireframes and workflows to test ideas with users.
  • Bridge business and engineering by balancing user value, compliance, and technical feasibility in decision-making.
  • Explore practical AI use cases to streamline internal workflows or enhance customer experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Education:Enrollment in a graduate program (MBA, MSIS, MEng, etc.), or being in the final year of an undergraduate program, or a recent graduate with at least one academic term remaining.
  • Experience:2+ years of professional or internship experience in product, engineering, UX, or consulting.
  • Skill Set:Familiarity with agile product development lifecycles, strong ability to write structured specifications, comfort engaging with engineering teams (e.g., reading API docs, understanding system diagrams), clear written communication, and a customer-first mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to cybersecurity, privacy, or AI governance frameworks (e.g., NIST CSF, SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, NIST AI RMF).
  • Experience with B2B SaaS workflows including identity, access, compliance, and integrations.
  • Prior work experience at a startup or high-growth SaaS company; familiarity with tech stacks such as React, JavaScript, Java, Springboot, MySQL, and AWS is a plus.
