Position Overview
Logix Sales & Marketing, a leading electronic component Manufacturers’ Representative, is seeking a Sales Engineer for business development in the Phoenix / Tucson / New Mexico territory. The company represents internationally recognized electronic component manufacturers under exclusive contracts across Arizona, New Mexico, Clark County Nevada, Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas, Mexico, Argentina, and Brazil. This role is focused on driving significant sales growth, expanding market share, and building lasting customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities
- Identify and close new business opportunities with OEM customers.
- Coordinate design wins with contract manufacturers worldwide.
- Manage existing business within the assigned territory.
- Execute second source efforts at contract manufacturers.
- Develop strategies for increasing sales and market share.
- Gain an in-depth understanding of products and effectively communicate benefits to customers.
- Prepare and update sales forecasts, booking reports, opportunity and proposal activity reports.
- Participate in sales strategy planning and action plans to expand the company’s offerings.
- Submit recommendations on market potentials and promotional programs to achieve regional goals.
- Research, analyze, and monitor financial, technological, and demographic factors affecting market needs.
- Identify new technologies and manufacturers for representation.
- Establish and nurture professional relationships with principals and customers to secure new business opportunities.
- Manage distribution relationships, including new design opportunities, obtaining bills of materials, registrations, samples, and quotes.
- Oversee QBRs with major distributors.
- Assess competitors by analyzing trends and identifying sales opportunities.
- Develop sales opportunities by researching potential accounts, soliciting new accounts, building rapport, providing technical information, and preparing quotations.
- Continuously update job knowledge through studying new product descriptions and participating in educational opportunities.
- Accomplish departmental and organizational goals by taking ownership of new requests and exploring value-added opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 3+ years of successful field sales experience.
- Proven understanding of electronic industry sales.
- Strong interpersonal, persuasive, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate a high level of activity.
- Ability to work independently and manage the full sales cycle—from prospecting and qualifying to proposal, closing, and post-sales support.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint).
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Willingness to travel 10% of the time for QBRs, training, and new line interviews.
