Backend Engineer | Mid-level

Position Overview

Ramp is a fast-growing financial operations platform dedicated to saving companies time and money while reimagining modern finance through AI innovation. Our engineering team is on a mission to build scalable backend systems using technologies like Python, Temporal, and Postgres. In this role, you will collaborate on technical vision, drive complex projects from inception to production, and contribute to a culture of excellence and continuous growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate on our technical vision and lead discussions and implementation of multiple complex projects.
• Continuously improve our engineering processes, tools, and systems that scale the code base, productivity, and team.
• Recruit and interview candidates while fostering a culture of excellence, velocity, and humility.
• Inspire and mentor less experienced engineers and interns.

Required Qualifications

• At least 1 year of professional software engineering experience (post-internship).
• Track record of shipping high-quality products and features at scale.
• Ability to turn business and product ideas into engineering solutions.
• Desire to work in a fast-paced environment, continuously grow, and master your craft.
