This role is critical to the design, development, integration, and testing of next-generation aerospace systems. The successful candidate will guide a team of talented engineers, ensuring the highest standards of technical excellence and project delivery. You will be involved in the full lifecycle of complex aerospace projects, from conceptual design to final deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the technical design and development of complex aerospace systems.
- Oversee system integration, testing, and validation activities.
- Define system requirements and ensure they are met throughout the development process.
- Mentor and guide a team of junior and senior aerospace engineers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software, hardware, and manufacturing engineers.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
- Develop and maintain system architecture documentation.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes and methodologies.
Qualifications
- Master's or Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field.
- 10+ years of experience in aerospace systems engineering.
- Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams.
- Deep understanding of aerospace vehicle dynamics, propulsion systems, and control systems.
- Expertise in systems engineering methodologies (e.g., DO-178C, ARP4754).
- Proficiency with simulation and modeling tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Experience with FMEA, FTA, and other reliability analysis techniques.
- Familiarity with aircraft certification processes.
