Job Description

Position Overview

Marquee Events Stage / Assistant Stage Manager Opportunities (Seasonal / Temporary Assignment) – This seasonal/temporary assignment covers multiple marquee events including Halloween Horror Nights, Universal Holidays – Grinchmas, Universal’s Holiday Parade & Holiday Concerts, New Year’s Eve, Rock the Universe, Mardi Gras, Grad events, Mega Movie Parade and 4th of July. Candidates must be available for required orientation, training, and rehearsals. For some events, availability for both second and third shift schedules is required, with start times as early as 12pm and ending as late as 3am.

The opportunity includes two positions – Assistant Manager, Stage: The Assistant Stage Manager works under the Stage Manager, taking full ownership of their assigned area by supervising talent and administrative staff, ensuring accurate scheduling, payroll and communication of technical information; and Manager, Stage: The Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of one or two show venues, manages training and performance evaluations, and represents the Entertainment Department as Manager on Duty.

Key Responsibilities

  • For Assistant Manager, Stage: Accountable for the supervision and evaluation of all talent and administrative staff, ensuring timely completion of scheduling, payroll, daily flash reports, and other administrative duties. Monitors performance and backstage areas for quality and safety, communicates technical and operational information effectively, administers company policies, and handles employee relations issues.
  • For Manager, Stage: Responsible for the day-to-day operations of one or two show venues. Supervises and evaluates talent and administrative staff, trains new employees, periodically represents the Entertainment Department as Manager on Duty, and addresses operational issues while maintaining optimal performance levels.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: High school degree or GED required.
  • Experience Required: 0-1 Year experience in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility and strong organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education: Associate degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school is preferred.
  • Qualifications: 1+ Years prior entertainment and/or management experience is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
