Job Description
Position Overview
The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center’s mission is to improve health in Ohio and across the world through innovation in research, education, and patient care. In this role, theRegistered Nurseplays a critical role in staff engagement, the patient experience, quality and safety, and cost-effective care. The position is responsible for managing and providing care to patients and their families, as well as directing and supervising nursing care delivered by a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and provide comprehensive care to patients and their families.
- Direct and supervise nursing care provided by team members.
- Assess, plan, implement, coordinate, delegate, and evaluate nursing care in alignment with the professional practice model.
Required Qualifications
- 2-year College Degree in Nursing from a CCNE or ACEN accredited program.
- Current Ohio RN license or interim permit required.
- Maintains current Ohio RN license and meets mandatory educational and health requirements.
- Demonstrates computer skills required to meet job functions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing with a major in Nursing from a CCNE or ACEN accredited program.
- 2 years of experience in a relevant care setting.
